When to consider rewiring
- Old rubber or early PVC cable
- Repeated faults that keep coming back
- Circuits that run hot or smell
- A major extension or knock-down/rebuild of part of the house
- Mismatched wiring from DIY additions
Shire homes we rewire
Brick and fibro homes from the 1950s to 70s in Sutherland, Jannali, Como, Gymea and Engadine are our most common rewires. Good roof access and timber subfloors make them practical to rewire with minimal wall damage.
Extensions and granny flats added over the years often have their own wiring problems, so we test them too.
Test before you commit
We insulation-test existing circuits and tell you which ones genuinely need replacing. Many homes only need a partial rewire.

Can I stay in the house?
