Outdoor lighting done properly
Outdoor lights in the Shire have to cope with summer storms, and near the water in Cronulla, Woolooware, Caringbah South and Oyster Bay, with salt air too. We use properly rated fittings and weatherproof connections. That matters, because water getting into outdoor lights is one of the most common causes of the tripping we're called out to fix.
For homes backing onto bushland in Engadine, Heathcote, Loftus and Menai, well-placed sensor lighting improves security and makes it safer to take the bins out at night.
Indoor upgrades
Swapping halogen downlights for LEDs cuts running costs and the heat they put into the roof space. We'll recommend colour temperatures for each room and make sure dimmers suit the fittings, so you don't get flicker.
Lighting Installation FAQs
Can you light our pool area?
Yes. We install lighting around pools and decks with suitably rated fittings and the required clearances. In-pool lights are usually supplied by the pool builder, and we can wire them in.
Do sensor lights work on bush blocks with animals?
Yes. We adjust the sensitivity and aim so possums and wallabies don't set them off all night.
Will LED downlights fit my existing holes?
Usually, yes. Most LED downlights are made to fit standard halogen cut-outs.
